Developing a relationship with God takes time and intention. We know we should read the Bible and pray, but sometimes we feel guilty because it’s not a priority or we just can’t seem to get started. Rooted provides the structure and support we need to establish simple habits that are essential to a healthy, authentic connection with Jesus.
We also know that we need supportive relationships in our lives — solid people to walk with us on our spiritual journey. But such transparent and trusted friendships can be hard to find. This is the gift of Rooted. Start with a small group of people who share the same longing for authentic connection that you do, and then grow and learn together.
The best part of your day will be the time you spend with your Rooted workbook, as you read your Bible, pray, journal, and reflect on what Jesus is doing in your life. Just like physical exercise, the more you put into each day’s study, the more you’ll see positive results.
Once a week, you'll meet with your group to encourage one another, discuss what you’re learning, and pray for each other. Past participants say that one of the greatest surprises about Rooted is how quickly they formed new friendships that are anchored in the Lord. In fact, most Rooted groups continue to meet after the ten weeks are finished.
The best way to cultivate a life of meaning and purpose is to put your faith in action. Growth Experiences reinforce new spiritual disciplines while providing opportunities to practice what you've learned.
