The 2026 instruction card has a specific order for the gifts, gift card, donation ticket, and return bag. Use this checklist alongside the physical packet you received.
Match the child’s packet
Look at the child’s age and gender on the packet, then open the matching 2026 list. Buy all listed items; when a list offers an “or” choice, select one option.
Follow these steps
Check the fit
All gifts from your child’s list must fit into the supplied clear self-closing bag. That bag must fit in the red gift box, which is 12 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and 5 inches high.
Close the clear bag
Place the listed gifts in the clear bag and close it securely. Keep the gift card and donation ticket separate from the gifts.
Add one $15 gift card
Choose Target, Walmart, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, or In-N-Out. Put the card in the colored envelope supplied in your packet.
Complete the $15 donation ticket
The packet asks for a $15 online donation to cover operation and transportation costs. Use the current giving link provided by the Boxes of Love team, fill out your physical donation ticket, and place it in the colored envelope.

Bring extras separately
Extra or bulk items purchased from the child’s shopping list may be dropped at Yorba Linda Friends Church in a grocery bag so the team can sort them.
Stay with the list
Please avoid donating items that are not on the child’s list. The team asks for the listed items so each box can be prepared consistently.
