- Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty, and 68.8% of the Indian population lives on less than $2 a day. This means there’s a great need, and as a church community, we’re dedicated to meeting it.
- Since 2008, Friends Church has raised over $9M to build 42 schools that have educated 10,000 children.
- Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve been part of serving 53,000 patients, providing 1.6 million meals, creating 20 new virtual health centers, building a women’s shelter, rescuing 350 potential victims from trafficking, and averting 16 child marriages (girls between the ages of 4 - 16).
- We love ministering to our Indian brothers and sisters in person, but COVID has made it a challenge. Hands-on opportunities to help will become available again as soon as it’s deemed safe to travel.
