Many of you know and love Jay Hewitt. For decades, Jay has faithfully served as a youth pastor at Friends Church and later as the Founding & Lead Pastor of Friends Church Orange – pouring his life into students, families, and our community with courage and unwavering faith, even thorugh his long battle with brain cancer.
Over the holidays, Jay began experiencing worsening symptoms related to his brain tumors. In January, doctors shared that the tumors have grown 200-300% since early December. His medical team has reccommended no further treatment and given a prognosis of months, maybe weeks.
We are hearbroken. We are holding tightly to the peace and hope found in God's love.
During this sacred and incredibly difficult season, there are significant medical and daily care expenses not covered by insurance. Our hope is to surround the Hewitt family with tangible support so they can focus on being toether and cherishing this time.
Here are two ways we can support them during this time.
If you feel led to give towards their GoFundMe, any amount makes a meaningful difference.
