Alpha is an 8-week course where you can ask any question about faith, spirituality, and God without feeling judged or pressured.
An Alpha evening starts with a time to connect with others. Each course is made up of a diverse group of people who are looking for a space outside of church to explore and ask questions about faith.
Each week you’ll hear a short talk from one of our Alpha members, or watch a video that unpacks the basics of Christianity by exploring key issues. These typically include addressing questions like, “Who is Jesus?” and “Is there more to life than this?”
After the video or talk, you’ll break out to have discussions in small groups where you can share your honest thoughts about God and spirituality and hear from others in your group. You’re free to say whatever you like, or as little as you like – it’s all up to you.
There are lots of people out there who seem to think they have all the answers. But you have important questions about God and spirituality, and they deserve thoughtful consideration. Alpha is a non-judgemental space where you can ask any question about faith, God, and life’s meaning.
Jesus is an important historical figure, but why are people still arguing about Him some 2,000 years later? Alpha will help you understand the basics of Jesus and the Bible as you spend time with a diverse group of people who are wrestling with the same questions you are.
Today’s social conversation often feels completely polarized–a constant argument over differing opinions and beliefs. Yet your important questions and opinions deserve attention and thoughtful consideration. At Alpha, you can have real conversations about your doubts, questions, and beliefs.
"I’d never heard that God cares for the poor. I always thought that God’s justice only meant wrath and judgement. I didn’t know he also cared for the oppressed and the poor."
“I’ve found a real Jesus and not just religion.”
Marcy, a former Catholic
“After talking in the group, I realized I need to share my story more with people to encourage them in their relationship with God.”

As of July 11, due to the current restrictions from the Governor, we are tentatively going to do the first 4-weeks of Alpha online and then come together in person for the final 4 weeks starting October 20. If the Governor allows us to meet in person by Sept. 22 we will have the entire course in person and take proper precautions.
